A Word from the Founder
"Since I entered the world of optics about ten years ago, I've seen Meilleurs Ouvriers de France spectacle makers retire, and family businesses founded at the end of the 19th century close or relocate due to profitability concerns.
As in many sectors, our French expertise, envied around the world, is gradually disappearing.
That's when I decided to take action with the resources I had, and to bring together the best artisans from the Alpine arc, sharing the same vision of French excellence around a common project, Manufacture Alpine. The idea is to promote and showcase the expertise of each individual internationally, often passed down from generation to generation, and to offer exceptional, rare products where attention to detail and finesse are our main concern."
